How good ideas get made

You have an idea for a product. Maybe it's a sketch on a napkin, a detailed CAD drawing, or just a picture in your head. So what happens next? Here's a typical journey from concept to finished product when you work with RevRoto.

Step 1: The conversation

Everything starts with a chat. Tell us about your idea, what it needs to do, how many you need, and what your timeline looks like. We'll let you know whether rotomoulding is the right process and suggest any design modifications that could improve the outcome.

Step 2: Design & development

If you have a CAD file, we'll review it for manufacturability. If you don't, we can help create one. We'll work with you to refine the design, considering wall thickness, draft angles, and material selection to ensure the best possible result.

Step 3: Tooling

Once the design is finalised, we'll manufacture the mould. This is typically made from aluminium or steel, depending on the production volume and complexity. Tooling lead time is usually 6-12 weeks.

Step 4: Prototyping

The first parts off the tool are carefully inspected and tested. This is your opportunity to check fit, function, and aesthetics. Any refinements can be made before committing to full production.

Step 5: Production

With the prototype approved, we move into production. Whether you need 10 units or 10,000, we'll manage the process to deliver consistent quality on schedule.

Step 6: Finishing & delivery

Depending on your requirements, we can provide CNC trimming, foam filling, assembly, painting, and branding. Your finished products are then packed and delivered, ready for your customers.

No idea is too early

You don't need a finished design to talk to us. Some of our best projects started as rough sketches or verbal descriptions. The earlier you involve us, the more we can help optimise your product for rotomoulding, saving you time and money in the long run.
